Every once in a while, after a good day of rain like we had on Saturday, we get a fun bit of fog that takes a while to burn off. It always reminds me of my time on the Monterey Peninsula, where fog was a very common occurrence. I am currently reading a book called Roadside Crosses on my Kindle that takes place on the Peninsula long after I was there, it seems, since in the book, Ft. Ord is now a college, and there are changes to some of the landmark buildings around Monterey.
