It was a bit rough sleeping last night; I kept getting obnoxious calls. Thankfully, Cathy suggested blocking the number, which worked.

I had an easy ride into  work, with minimal slowing and no crashes.

Sasha got to go to Camp K-9 to play with Roo and another friend.

I am looking forward to being home tonight.

Thank you, Cathy, for letting me sleep in, but not too much! It was just right.

Had a nice breakfast with Cathy; Steel Cut Oatmeal with Coffee.

Took it easy for most of today, but did clean the pond filters and give Sasha a bath, which she needed. She’ll be going to doggy day care at Camp K9 tomorrow, and should be pretty tired when I get home from work.

Kimberly is coming over in a bit for dinner; it will be really nice to spend some time with her.

Thank you, Cathy, for the wonderful breakfast of scrambled eggs (using the last of the Roasted Red Pepper Olive Oil) and oatmeal. It was just what I needed for the 23.5 mile ride this morning with HMS Bikes group. Here is the Endomondo stats for the ride: http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/285182584/12933999

Lots of rehydrating after that, and eating lots of fuel to rebuild. My legs are less like Jello now.

Went for a nice, leisurely stroll with Cathy and Sasha: http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/285309481/12933999

Watched some TV and did some grocery shopping.

January 9, 2014

I slept better last night, if not as long as I’d like. Sasha and I had a nice walk around our circle four times, which still left her with enough energy she wanted me to chase her around the house.

Cathy and I had a nice breakfast of Steel Cut Oatmeal and coffee/tea, and I took care of a few things before work, like taking out the trash and moving the ladder in the garage more out of the way. My calendar reminded me it is the day that Sasha gets her Heartguard, which I mentioned to Cathy, and she took care of that right away.

I enjoyed some leftover meatloaf and twice-baked potatoes for lunch.

January 8, 2014

I had a very nice walk with Sasha this morning, followed by a nice bowl of Oatmeal and Coffee with Cathy.

The drive to work was pretty long. There were two crashes on the freeway, and, even though neither was blocking traffic lanes, people slowed to a crawl for a couple miles before each.

Wallets

I bought what I believe to be my first wallet of this millenium, though it may be my second. I just switched the contents from the old to the new, and cleaned out some of the junk.

The drive home wasn’t bad, and the drive to IHOP to meet friends good.

We had a nice time at IHOP, and made a nice card that Judy designed and provided us with the supplies. Thanks Judy!

I had a rough night getting to and staying asleep. The consensus was reset the alarm and get some extra sleep, which means Sasha did not get a walk, and I did not get any exercise this morning.

Sunrise20140107

I did snap a picture of this morning’s sunrise, which was similar to yesterday’s, and quite beautiful.

The ride to work was pretty good, except for another slow down in the downtown area.

Work went well, and had dinner with Cathy at Culver’s. What a treat that was!

Went to Rally Practice, and Sasha did quite well, despite being a bit energetic.

We watched Castle, which was pretty good, and went to bed.

January 6, 2014

I slept well last night, and woke up a few minutes before the alarm went off. That is definitely a rare event. I used to be more of a morning person than I am now, but, I can’t stay up all night any more.

It was a beautiful sunrise, which I neglected to capture. I love when the sky starts to lighten with just a small glow of orange at the horizon, with the rest of the sky showing a blue gradient across a million shades, with a few stars showing in the darker part of the sky.

I listened to more of my audio book today on the way to work. It was pretty uneventful except for some lookie-looing in mid-town on Interstate 10 for a fender bender on the other side of the freeway.

Plenty to do at work with almost no drama; that’s a pretty good day.

Wonderful chicken soup for dinner; thank you, Cathy!

Downton Abbey and an Oprah “Where are they now?” and off to bed.
